Dems: Trump ‘should have known better’ when he made false claim of 9/11 threat

The Democratic Party is blasting President Donald Trump for making a false claim that the September 11, 2001, attacks were carried out by Al Qaeda.

Trump, speaking to a group of military veterans on Thursday, said, “I made a false statement.

I did not say 9/12 was an inside job.””

That is not accurate,” Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez said on CNN’s “New Day” on Friday.

“There was no such thing as an inside Job, but there were people inside of the United States, and those inside the United Americans were not terrorists.”

The Democratic National Convention kicked off in Philadelphia on Friday and is expected to take place on Saturday.
